The Afternoon Fair is on the Green from around 1pm.

The information on this website applies to the 2016 Ditchling Fair. The site will be updated when the 2018 programme of events is finalised. Please join our mailing list to be kept up to date.

Teas and refreshments will be available in the Barn. There will ba a Licenced Bar, Stalls of local clubs and societies showing games of luck and skill. There will be Maypole dancing, The Dog Show, the village Tug Of War competition, the Are You In with the In-Crowd cash prize quiz (last year's prize was £175!).

The Unreel Ceilidh Band will get you dancing your socks off. The Art Tent will show locally produced art and will be running a silent auction for you to buy the artworks. This will include the artwork for the Fair Programme cover, this year produced by Peta Taylor.

In the lower Field will be Harris's Old Tyme Amusements and the Discussion Tent will intrigue us all.

Fair Programmes with full timings are £1.00 and are available from around the village.

About Ditchling Fair

In 1312 King Edward II granted John de Warenne, Lord of the Manor, the right to run a Fair in Ditchling 'in the eve and in the day and in the morrow of St Margaret the Virgin' and thus was to be celebrated on July 20th.
